Visit by Local Heroes

On Friday 5th  October 2012 the children of Years 1 and 2 were treated to a visit from some local heroes as part of their topic on Heroes.

Four volunteers from the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) talked to the children about their work in and around the River Severn. The children were able to throw a rope to an imaginary person in a river, see the range of equipment and protective clothing used as well as clamber inside both the landrover and a rescue boat!
