Staff vs Year 6 Rounders

Following the previous last minute postponement, the much anticipated annual Year 6 vs Staff Rounders match took place on Monday 21st July. With a weekend of thunder storms, we were blessed with glorious sunshine and perfect conditions for a friendly but competitive match.

Aston Villa Trip

Being in a footballer’s shoes

On Monday 19th May, some of the year 6 children had an experience of a lifetime at Villa Park (the home of Aston Villa). Twenty two excited children, including myself, travelled by coach for a fabulous stadium tour.

Year 6 SATs week!


Year 6 children will be sitting their SAT tests this week:


Monday - Reading (L6 Reading pm)
Tuesday - Grammar (L6 Grammar pm)
Wednesday - Maths paper A and Mental Maths
Thursday - Maths paper B (L6 Maths pm)

On Wednesday 19th March 2014, around 275 Year 6, Wyre Forest youngsters flocked to Kidderminster Carolians Rugby Club to take part in a mixed tag rugby tournament ran by West Mercia Police. The teams were vying for the chance to progress to the regional competitions and ultimately the Tag 2 Twickenham national final, Twickenham, the home of English rugby.

Year 6 Leavers

What a busy final week for Year 6!! A trip to the cinema, Pizza Hut, a rounders match against the staff, a leaver's assembly…….We have had a fun filled final week full of laughter, tears and mixed emotions.

Water, water!

This week the school were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr Paul Tingle from Severn Trent. He gave a very amusing assembly on the importance of saving water, which the children really enjoyed.

Golden reward

Children at two Stourport schools have been rewarded for consistent long term excellent behaviour and attitudes towards learning with some “golden trips” that reward their achievements in school.
